The Challenge
Orbital needed a marketing-first website that felt like a brand, not a checkout page. The existing setup was functional, but it wasn’t leaving an impression or helping new customers understand what Orbital is beyond the individual food concepts.
I rebuilt the experience around motion, interaction, and clearer paths to booking and ordering, with a focus on large teams placing frequent, high-volume orders.
Key goals:
📌 Stand Out
Create a distinctive redesign with motion that highlights Orbital’s strengths and multi-brand offering.
📌 Drive Action
Improve conversion for direct orders and increase on-site engagement.
📌 Measure and Learn
Turn the site into a marketing asset with analytics and insight-driven tracking to understand user behavior and campaign performance.
📌 Easy to Manage
Make the site easier for the marketing team to update and manage after launch without developer help.
📌 SEO Foundations
Make sure the new site has a stronger foundation for search visibility, so Orbital’s updated content can perform better over time.
Moodboard and visual direction
Orbital took the redesign seriously. This wasn’t just a migration to Framer with some custom code. It marked a new chapter for the company and a shift in how the brand would present itself.
That’s why I suggested using the first few days to lock in a clear visual direction through a moodboard and quick experiments. This helped align the key foundations before moving into design and development.
✅ Typography
✅ Color palette
✅ Overall design feel
✅ Visual style references
✅ Competitor features
✅ Tone of voice in copy
Design and development in Framer
✅ Marketing-focused page architecture
✅ Custom iconography and illustrations
✅ Motion-led homepage design and dev
Designed and developed a more dynamic homepage in Framer with stronger pacing, hierarchy, and visual impact.
✅ Catering pricing calculator
I built a custom per-person catering pricing calculator component and integrated it into Framer. This lightweight feature helps Orbital capture more leads, learn what visitors are looking for, and start 1:1 conversations to shape and close catering orders.
FINAL SETUP AND TEAM OWNERSHIP
✅ Cross-domain analytics (Full-funnel tracking)
Connected the Framer marketing site with the Flex ordering flow to track the full user journey more clearly.
✅ Framer Forms
Set up lead capture points to support inquiries and campaign-driven traffic.
✅ Basic SEO setup in Framer
Set up the site’s basic SEO structure in Framer to support search visibility as the new content rolls out.
✅ CMS setup
Structured the site content in Framer CMS so Orbital’s team can update key pages and case-specific content more easily.
Result
✅ Migration to Framer
Framer now powers the main marketing site, while ordering lives on a subdomain. This gives Orbital a more flexible setup for campaigns and content updates.
✅ Refreshed website design and conversion flow
A bold, motion-led experience that gives Orbital a stronger first impression and makes the path to booking and direct ordering easier to follow.
✅ CMS structure for team ownership
The marketing team can manage pages and update content directly in Framer.
✅ Tracking and lead capture setup
Analytics, forms, and custom tools are in place to measure performance and support iteration.
Client feedback:
“Andrei is incredible to work with. The end product was exactly what we didn’t even fully know we needed and encompassed everything we aimed for. His Framer skills and commitment exceeded our expectations.”
